Chery Alado Holdings Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of Chery Automobile Co., Ltd, was created in May 2008 through a partnership with Alado Corporation Sdn Bhd, to assemble and distribute Chery cars in Completely Built Up (CBU) and Completely Knocked Down (CKD). This strategic decision strongly reflects Chery's confidence in the long-term better future of Malaysia and also is the first step in their mission to make Malaysia a regional automotive manufacturing hub. The setting up of this regional automotive manufacturing hub is expected to provide considerable business and co-operation opportunities to the automotive related components producers based in Malaysia as well as the ASEAN automotive industry as a whole.
