Introduction
PNMB established itself as the largest printing company in Malaysia by 1st January 1993 when in entered the open market. PNMB has unprecedented experience in the printing industry as it was first known as JPN (Jabatan Percetakan Negara) on its debut opening during the British occupation in Malaya in 1888.

With a history of over 100 years experience in the printing industry, JPN had skillfully and courageously managed to sustain and adapt itself to operate under various types of governance.

JPN was finally corporatised in 1993 and changed its name to PNMB (Percetakan Nasional Malaysia Berhad). PNMB is a fully government owned company under the Ministry of Finance and continues to undertake all the printing and press work for various government ministries, offices and agencies.

PNMB’s headquarters is located in Kuala Lumpur whilst having ample strategic and well equipped branches in Alor Star, Penang, Ipoh, Malacca, Johor Baharu, Kuala Terengganu, Kota Bharu, Kuching, Miri and Putrajaya covering both east and west Malaysia respectively.

PNMB with its array of modern equipment and extra capacity available also offers its printing services to various private sectors which contributed a small percentage to its revenue. PNMB’s endeavors and initiatives to expand its services to the private sectors are done carefully and gradually so as to balance, protect and maintain high quality services to its main priority concerning the government and its agencies.

The road towards achieving this status is difficult to achieve. The first step in the right direction has been made. This will continue leading to a more dynamic future. It is said that the organization with the leading edge in technology will be dominant in the future.
