The paper has initiated a programme with other like-minded organization, a caring drive which is aimed at bringing assistance to rural folks in the interior and remote corners of the state, mainly indigenous peoples. The ‘FlyCare’ mission brings in medical specialists, government officials, private sector experts to assist these people by providing health checks, educational materials for children, processing of papers for national registration and others by flying in these groups of people by Fokker planes from Fly Asian Xpress (FAX) and helicopters from Hornbill Skyways Sdn Bhd.

The first mission to Sungai Kut, Dalat, in the central region of Sarawak, brought cheers and delight to many rural folks, especially children and the next mission will be to another remote area, the hilly interior of Ulu Baram in the Northern end Sarawak. Since the programme’s launch on 13 October, 2006, caring corporations and individuals, government ministries and departments have volunteered their time and expenses to this worthy cause and membership is on a voluntarily basis.
